The Atlanta Spanish School

Welcome to The Atlanta Spanish School. Our mission is to provide high-quality educational services by designing efficient and effective strategies that ensure positive results for our students.

My name is Denise Barker and I have been teaching Spanish to students in kindergarten through 12th grade for over 10 years.

​

I aspired to become a teacher because I enjoy serving others and feel teaching is rewarding.

​

I take pride in touching the lives of my students and feel as if I am making the world a better place one student at a time.

In my classroom,  I encourage my students to ask questions, work hard and be creative with their talents. I always makes sure that what my students are learning in class is relevant in order to prepare them for  work and life.  I allow my  passion for teaching to show through in my lessons and strive to inspire my students.  I always believe that educators exist to produce good people, not just good test results. My biggest reward is when my former students visit and tell me, “Señora Barker, no one could have prepared us better. We have all of the skills needed to succeed. Gracias, Gracias for teaching us!”
